Glen Tress Trip

Glen Tress was a common location for members a few years ago but is now a rare venue for club trips. But after today's visit I suspect there will be some repeat visits in months to come. It is quite a long drive (best part of 2 hours from Newcastle) but there are lots of really fun things about the place that make that journey well worth while.

18 Muddy Bums made the journey today and the weather started quite mild and dry but overcast. And whilst it got a bit murky, damp and breezy a bit later in the day the shelter of the forest meant the weather never became a problem.

A few of the group had an excellent knowledge of the area so ensured we ran the choicest trails. The climbing was never too tough and the descents were brilliant. Quite fast, very twisty and flowed like cream from a jug. There were many mud splattered faces that had big wide grins right accross them and a good few sweeping whoops of delight were heard amongst the trees.

A GRAND DAY OOT.
