Kielder Lonesome Pine

KIELDER LONESOME PINE RIDE REPORT - 21.11.10

"On a mountain in Virginia stands a lonesome pine" ...The west was indeed
the best, despite a crap weather forecast of sleety rain and cold in the
east, Kielder was fine and dry, with even and a drop of sunshine thrown in.

Whilst it rained all day in Morpeth, which added even more mire to the muck,
Kielder's all weather trails came up trumps. With a mixture of blue and red
and shoreside trail, 24 miles were covered in suitably swoopy mazy man made
trail fashion.

All of us went home, après tea and cake with that certain
satisfied smile on oor faces. With the Ncle MTB'ers we were up to 14 riders
at times, but we were happy to leave them behind doing their trail
building/exploring thing, for just the three of us ( Gav, kev and IanA) to
fully enjoy that unique Kielder experience on the trail of The Lonesome
Pine, ... yeehah.
