How Far 25 miles
Time Departed at 10.00am and returned to cars at 15.45pm 4 ½ hrs

Route
· Longframlington then west past Healey Cote then turn right and right again past Woodhead
· Attempt to ride the track parallel to Lynch wood and the first part of Longframlington common a real test of perseverance and balance as the ground resembled the Somme but bone dry
· Thrunton Woods for lunch with a million flies
· The Devils causeway had us returning via Edlingham,The wigwam and a very wet and overgrown Edlingham Woods which saw Suzanne somehow end up in a tree looking like a little muddy fairy.
· Passing Glantlees had us joining the tarmac at Alnwick Fords for the 3 mile ride home into the wind, forming a sort of undisciplined peleton to help those with tired legs tuck in at the rear.
· Coffee and teas in the local pub before heading for home.
The right ride for the conditions today, looks like summers over.
Cheers
Ian
