Objectives

To enjoy Mountain Biking in the fabulously beautiful and varied wild places in the Northern Counties of England and Southern Scotland. To share knowledge of good routes to follow and help new members join in the fun of riding these routes.

Where do we ride ?

The Muddy Bums are based in and around Northumberland. We ride all over the North of England and Southern Scotland - but in practice that means 75% Northumberland, 10% Co. Durham & Yorkshire, 10% The Lake District and 5% Southern Scotland. Mind you - we reckon you would be hard pushed to find a better area to ride your Mountain Bike in. There are 1,000's of byways, bridleways, cyclepaths and forest roads hereabouts - with some of the best scenery and "away from it all" areas that you could ever want for.
